Morals

When writing this in May of 2025, the Sacramento View is still just an idea. But it’s a good idea. It’s “good”, not just in the sense that it’s well-thought-out, but also in the sense that it is morally righteous. It’s a good thing to seek truth, understanding, and knowledge. And it’s a good thing to name and fight against the evils of corporate media, propaganda in favor of capitalism, and fascism in every form.

No Ads

The Sacramento View will never contain advertising. This isn’t because advertising or commerce is evil. But the evils we see from existing media sources are most certainly the result of capitalist corruption. Taking any money or support from capitalists influences how the news is written.

As a paper, we don’t need to exist. And if existing ever depends on corporations paying us for something, we’d rather not exist at all.

No Platforming Evil

Whenever we report on and criticize evil people doing evil things, we will actively work to prevent promoting or otherwise platforming that evil. We won’t debate topics that are beyond debate. We won’t entertain views that are irrational or presented in bad faith.
